Emergency Donations for Food for Isolated Families in NY & NJ
Childhood cancer families in NY and NJ are among the hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. Not only are they fighting for their children's lives but many have to deal with isolation and the lack of food. If you are in a position to help, your donation will go directly to childhood cancer families who are currently struggling to provide food for their families.
Because of its world-class medical facilities, many childhood cancer families receive treatment in New York City. Normally free meals are provided by corporations and charity organizations. At this time, these meals are no longer available and families must fend for themselves. Since many of their children are immunocompromised, the risk of going out in public to look for food is too great.
By request from donors, we have set up this fundraiser to provide resources for these families. Your donation will allow them to purchase food that will be safely delivered to them. Our focus is the NY and NJ areas due to the high number of childhood cancer families and the severity of the outbreak in that region.
