I'm shaving my head!!! Say what?

Campaign has ended.
Here goes! It's my VERY first time EVER shaving my head. Ever! Can't think of a better reason to jump in. Kids with cancer have my heart. I will not stop fighting for them. I've been volunteering with Arms Wide Open Childhood Cancer Foundation since 2014. I've been honored to sit on the Board since 2018. Part of what I help with on a weekly basis is processing intake forms for financial assistance. Seeing the ages, reading the diagnosis, learning about the financial hardship the families are in - truly, my heart is broken open every time. I want to give them everything I can. I wish I had tons of money because it would be theirs. What do they do? Not only must hearing "Your child has cancer" be an immensely unimageable crushing blow, but then you have the worry and stress of finances. When your child needs your full attention. Do they pay the mortgage, rent, gas or electric bill? Or do they instead put gas in the car to get their child to treatment? Or what about food? Medications? Supplies needed to help their child through the harsh treatments that their insurance won't cover? Single parents? We so need YOUR HELP to help them. We need to help more struggling families. We need to fund more research. We need to wrap our arms around our bereaved families and provide them support. The families were in crisis mode before the pandemic hit. Right now, more than ever, they need us. They have me. Do they have YOU? Can I count on your donation towards my campaign?
